Art and regeneration in Haverfordwest

Pot-Luck Pop-up Cafe

Running alongside the Open Lab event held on Saturday 19 September 2015, 10am to 5pm, Transition Haverfordwest tried out a pop-up pot-luck café, providing a choice of delicious vegetarian hot meals from the fruit and vegetables people brought in from their gardens.

Guests were invited to bring any fresh fruit and vegetables they could spare as early as possible on the day and come back to taste the results from 12 midday to 4pm. The café also served tea, coffee and delectable homemade cakes.

The aim of the day was to enjoy the wonderful produce available locally, and to highlight the work of Transition Haverfordwest as a community group working towards low impact, sustainable living.

It was also an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in Transition Haverfordwest to come along and find out more about all the exciting events happening in and around The Lab.

‘Pot Luck’ was entirely by volunteers and people were asked to donate an amount they though was reasonable to pay for their food and drink. We trusted that our customers would be generous enough to cover our running costs – and any profit, would go back into Transition Haverfordwest community projects.
