Art and regeneration in Haverfordwest

Printing from the River, for artists

A woodcut print workshop for artists was held on Friday 2 October 2015 10.30am – 4pm in the Lab for 10 practicing artists with tuition by printmaker and founder of Swansea Print Workshop, Alan Williams. Participants were invited to make a large bold hand-printed woodcut inspired by Haverfordwest and its relationship with the river.

The workshop provided the opportunity for local artists to get together, share ideas and learn a new craft.

Ace day with great instruction. Would love a monthly get together of artists at the Lab creating Cleaddau-inspired pieces in our own mediums – Lloyd Roberts

The most special thing about today has been meeting and working alongside other artists – Heidi Baker

Great to try out wood printing, looking forward to experimenting at home. – Helen Bowen

The images produced by Fran Evans, Heidi Baker, Helen Bowen, Jenny Guard, Dawn Tootes, Jo Owen, Lloyd Roberts and Hew Fuller received some great feedback online and can be viewed in the slideshow below.
